Taykerb grudiTaykerb for the treatment of cancer (lapatinib) in combination with Xeloda (kapsatavin) prescribed for the treatment of breast cancer, advanced or metastatic, HER - 2 positive after chemotherapeutic treatment with Herceptin. Tikerb slows or stops the growth of tumor cells.

In most cases, the drug is well tolerated and is suitable for home use because it is available as a tablet.

Indications: a common and/or metastatic breast tumor with HER2 overexpression in combination therapy with capecitabine in patients with a common and ~ or metastatic breast tumor with overexpression of HER2 previously treated with anthracyclines, taxanes and trastuzumab; hormone - sensitive common and/or metastatic breast tumor with overexpression of HER2 in combination with an aromatase inhibitor to treat patients with a hormone - sensitive common and ~ or metastatic breast tumor with HER2 overexpression.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to lapatinib.

Pregnancy and lactation.

Tyverb preparation is contraindicated in pregnancy.

Breastfeeding should be discontinued at the time of treatment.

Possible side effects:

fatigue, loss of appetite, liver toxicity, nausea, diarrhea, acne - like rash, alopecia, pruritus, epistaxis.

Interaction with other medications:

Tayverb not recommended for use in conjunction with rifampicin, ketoconazole, clotrimazole, itraconazole, phenytoin, carbamazepine, St. John's wort preparations and other drugs inhibit or induce isozymes CYP3A4. During treatment with the drug, you can not eat grapefruit (or grapefruit juice).
